Founder, Managing Director – Operations and General Contractor
Michael brings years of industry experience in residential homebuilding, with a particular focus on construction operations, procurement, and vendor relationships. He has held key positions at respected builders including Shea Homes of Charlotte, Empire Communities, Caruso Homes, and Toll Brothers.
Over the past five years, Michael has
worked within the purchasing departments of these firms, gaining deep expertise in:
• Construction project costing
• Vendor sourcing and negotiation
• Material logistics and procurement
• Budget preparation and financial execution
• Streamlining build processes from pre-construction to closeout
Michael leads day-to-day field operations at Bowman Welsh, overseeing construction
timelines, trade performance, quality control, and schedule adherence.
Founder, Managing Director – Finance
Michael offers a strong financial and operational leadership background from his tenure at Hobson Builders, where he has served for over six years. Starting as the finance officer, Michael quickly proved his aptitude by contributing to field oversight before rising to the role of Vice President. In this position, he has led all financial planning, risk management, and strategic operations for large-scale residential construction projects.
His responsibilities have included:
• Financial modeling and forecasting
• Budget and cost control for multi-million-dollar developments
• Field coordination and project oversight
• Investor and banking relationships
• Company-wide operational strategy
Michael oversees all financial and administrative aspects of Bowman Welsh, including lender relations, capital allocation, cost monitoring, and growth planning.
